AA May be Winning Breakdown Cover Wars
There is no doubt that of you are offering a national breakdown cover service you are in the wars in terms of price points and getting drivers to renew during this recession time. With Green Flag offering breakdown cover for as low as £20 (proving you own the right car and do the right mileage a year), it is surprising that ay driver would think twice about it.
It is the AA however, that appears to have come out top this year, with Which magazine awarding them with the best breakdown cover provider award for the third year running. Even the AA have taken part in the price wars recently with breakdown cover as low as £27, although the word on the street is, it is about to increase in price to just above £30 for their based roadside policy.
It is strange that 20 years ago you probably could not have bought a breakdown cove policy for this price, so it must a tough business to keep costs down and service high, with all the top providers claiming they can get to you in under an hour and in most cases around 35 minutes or so.
It has been great news for all drivers who still feel the need for breakdown insurance and probably some that wished they had as we come to the end of the summer holiday period, where no doubt there have been some breakdowns, pulling the caravan or carrying the kids on a driving holiday.
